Israel strikes Jabalia refugee camp – World describes the event as ‘Inhumane’

Governments and non-governmental organizations from all around the world have denounced the torrent of Israeli airstrikes on a heavily populated refugee camp close to Gaza City.

Several apartment complexes in the Jabalia refugee camp were destroyed by an attack on Tuesday night, leaving only craters in their wake. Women and children were seen being assisted down partially wrecked houses in the footage from the area, while locals and rescuers searched through the debris for survivors.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the attack resulted in more than 50 fatalities and 150 injuries. Over 50 fatalities were reported by the Indonesian Hospital, where the majority of the patients were transported.

Three international passport holders were among the seven civilian prisoners who perished in the strikes, according to a statement released by Hamas’s military wing on Wednesday.

On social media platform X, the Commissioner for Foreign Affairs of the European Union expressed shock at the large number of victims that followed Israel’s attack on the Jabalia refugee camp.

Israel’s continued attacks during Gaza’s total blockade

The incident took place in the midst of Israel’s ongoing complete siege of Gaza, which severely limits the more than 2.3 million people who live there from getting gasoline, food, water, or electricity.

Power outages and diminishing medical supplies are currently posing a challenge to Gaza’s medical professionals. Several hospitals were running on fuel-powered generators, but due to a fuel shortages, even those had to shut down. As a result, many hospitals had to shut down. With no medical supplies and no power, the medical professionals are helpless at this point.

Al-Shifa Medical and the Indonesian Hospital, two of Gaza’s primary hospitals, experienced a power loss as a result of their generators running out of fuel quickly.

The Gaza health ministry’s spokesperson, Ashraf al-Qudra, urged owners of gas stations in the neighborhood to rapidly provide fuel while medical professionals worked around the clock to treat casualties with whatever resources they had available. If a ceasefire isn’t initiated, the fatalities will continue.
