Because of this, America murdered the Taliban leader, Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansoor in a drone attack in 2016 after he returned from Iran to Pakistan. In 2020, the New York Times reported that Israeli spies killed Taliban leader Mohammad Al Masri in Tehran, who was accused of attacking the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.
