Triple H’s tweet on Bray’s death

Triple H announced the news through his tweet at 4:32 AM. He told the world that he received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda (Bray’s father) that Bray had passed away.

Triple H also requested everyone to respect the privacy of Bray’s family.

WWE and other Superstars mourn for Bray

WWE also tweeted and announced Bray’s death just one hour after Triple H’s tweet. The world broke into tears and was shocked to hear the brilliant wrestler’s passing. Twitter was flooded with sad tweets from fans and fellow wrestlers.

Several WWE superstars expressed their condolence after hearing the tragic news including John Cena. John Cena remembers the time he had spent with Bray as both had a powerful rivalry in WWE and also had a match in WrestleMania 30 in 2014. Later on Bray took on The Fiend persona and the old rivalry was revived that eventually led to another match in WrestleMania 36.

The match was quite different as it was during the COVID period and WWE superstars had to perform in an arena without an audience. The cinematic fight was called, the Firefly Fun House match, which Cena lost in a bizarre way. John Cena remembered those times and expressed his sadness about Bray’s passing.

WWE legend, Dwayne Johnson, The Rock also had a run-in with Bray Wyatt during one of his segments. The Rock expressed his admiration for Bray’s creativity and dedication to the business while also saddened by the news.

Several superstars from different brands expressed their sadness at Bray’s passing as it was completely unexpected. Superstars like Alexa Bliss, Mick Foley, The Miz, Matt Hardy, Big E, Paige, etc. tweeted their thoughts and prays as well.

Reason behind Bray Wyatt’s death

With a hidden health issue, Wyatt, whose actual name was Windham Rotunda, had been absent from the WWE for a number of months. Except for just over a year between 2021 and 2022 when he was unexpectedly let go, he had been a member of WWE since 2009. Last September, Rotunda made a triumphant comeback to WWE with a suspenseful plotline that included cryptic vignettes, which helped increase television viewership.

Although there was much confusion surrounding Bray’s passing, it was revealed that Bray suffered a heart attack. Bray was facing some health issues from last year and was absent for some time. He made a comeback this year and faced LA Knight in a Pitch Black match which he won. Later on, he was supposed to have a feud with Bobby Lashley, but that storyline was dropped as Bray disappeared from television.

Triple H’s tweet didn’t specify the cause of death but Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp made everything clear. It seems that Bray was battling COVID earlier this year which exacerbated his heart issues. This caused a heart attack that led to Bray’s passing.

There will never be another Bray Wyatt

Bray was one of the best in-right performers of the modern era, especially when it comes to storytelling. It was a regular thing when Bray appeared on the screen and started telling stories, and the WWE Universe listened to his stories with great interest. It was almost like he was a grandpa telling his children stories. Moments like these probably gave birth to his famous catchphrase “He’s got the whole world, in his hands.”

His character and his chemistry with the WWE universe were truly amazing. WWE tweeted “There will never be another Bray Wyatt”. As a WWE fan who has been watching wrestling for over 25 years, I also agree with this statement. You will be missed Bray Wyatt.
